MANILA, Philippines – Action star Robin Padilla just gave a laugh when asked about the controversies involving his siblings, Royette and Rustom.

During the press conference of his newest cellphone product endorsement, Padilla said he is no position to comment on what happened between his elder brother Royette and the latter’s wife, which was in the news a few weeks ago.

“Away mag-asawa iyon. Walang kinalaman sa akin yon. May kanya kanya tayong teleserye ng buhay. Iyon ang teleserye niya, ipagdadasal ko siyang maayos sila, naayos naman na. Pero para maapektuhan ako, unang una buhay mag-asawa iyon. Hindi ako dapat makialam doon,” Padilla said.

Padilla added that it is normal for couples to undergo rough times.

“Si Kuya Royette ho kung kilala niyo lang iyon, marami po kayong masasabi na [mabuti]. Sa akin, away mag-asawa iyon. Lahat dumadaan sa ganoong klaseng mga aksyong tagpo at lalong sumasarap ang pagmamahalan pagkatapos ng ganoong bagyo,” he said.

Meanwhile, Padilla also reacted over the latest modeling stint in New York of his gay brother, Rustom (who is now called BB Gandandahari).

“Ako happy ako. Happy ako sa kanya kasi pangarap naman niya iyon. Hindi [kami nakakapag-usap]. Si utol mahilig mangsurpresa iyon eh. Buti na lang shock proof ako, hindi ako nabibigla,” he said.

He, however, revealed that he is not open to the idea of Rustom undergoing a sex-change operation.

“Huwag naman. Opinyon ko huwag naman. Okay na eh. Doon sa usapin na iyon medyo kailangan ko magbakasyon doon. Medyo masha-shock ako doon,” Padilla said in jest. - Report from Mario Dumaual, ABS-CBN News
