Isa ang PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) sa bumisita sa first taping day ng Iglot na pinakabagong fantasy series ng GMA-7 sa barangay Lacquois, Arayat, Pampanga kahapon, July 25.
Kasama si Patrick Garcia sa cast na napakahalaga raw ang role ayon sa co-star niyang si Jolina Magdangal na una naming nakausap. Included din sa cast ng Iglot sina Claudine Barretto, Marvin Agustin, Luis Alandy, Pauleen Luna at ipinakikilala ang batang si Milkach Wynne Nacion.
Patapos na ang pakikipag-usap naming with Claudine when Patrick came in sa tent para ang binatang ama naman ang aming interview-hin. Naupo ito sa tabi ni Claudine at shoot na agad ng first question tungkol kay Jennylyn Mercado at sa anak nilang si AJ ang agad kinumusta .
DADDY'S BOY. Ayon kay Patrick ay pumapasok na sa isang school for toddlers ang anak nila ni Jennylyn.
"Minsan, hatid sundo [sa school]. Minsan, ako yung hatid, or ako yung susundo. Basta pag wala akong akong ginagawa, everyday binibisita ko yung anak ko," masayang kuwento ni Patrick.
"Kasi, yun yung most precious ano, e, [time]. Yung bata pa sila. Pag lumaki na sila, you'll never get to experience the same things na."
Marami ang nagsasabi na kamukhang-kamukha niya si AJ.
"Siyempre, daddy's boy yun, e. Daddy's boy," pagmamalaki ni Patrick.
Nagsasalita na rin daw si AJ ngayon. Kung matatandaan ay worried na worried daw kasi noon si Jennylyn dahil magtu-two years old na ang bata, di pa nagsasalita.
"Oo nagsasalita na. Oo, noon worried kami. Pero, ngayon nagsasalita na.
"Parang, 'wow'. Hindi ko kasi marinig yung boses niya dati, e. Now when I hear his voice, parang [heaven]. Yun.
"Pero gano'n talaga yung mga boys matagal [bago matutong magsalita]. Yung akin madaldal lang talaga. Nagmana kay Kuya Randy (Santiago)," natatawang sabat ni Claudine who was seated beside Patrick during our interview.
"Ibang [baby] boys talaga matagal [matutong magsalita]," patuloy ni Claudine.
Patrick makes it a point nga raw na laging kausapin ang anak na si AJ para makatulong sa pagsasalita ng bata.
"Kaya ako madaldal talaga pag kasama ko yung anak ko. Kaya kahit di niya maintindihan sige [daladal pa rin ako].
"Tsaka pag kinakausap ko talaga straight ano, hindi yung baby talk."
Ini-spoil ba niya ang kanyang anak?
"I try not to. I don't spoil him sa mga toys, ganyan. Pero, lagi ko siyang kinakarga. Ganyan. 'Tsaka we always play. Yung mga gano'n.
"Tsaka I'm strict when it comes to what, to the feeding bottle. Pero si Lola [ni AJ kay Jennylyn] tsaka si Yaya laging nagbibigay. 'E, nagugutom, e'," katwiran daw nila.
"Kasi ako, I don't like substituting solid food with milk. Dapat talaga solid food. Minsan ayaw kumain kasi gusto niya milk.
"Naawa sila. Hindi dapat gano'n. Sabi kasi ng doctor, magugutom at magugutom din daw ang bata, they'll give in [to solid food].
"Kasi tinatanggal ko na yung [feeding] bottle. Kumbaga sa tubig, sa glass na siya.
"Pero, sa milk, binabawasan na namin. Pero, pag wala ako do'n [sa bahay nila Jennylyn] hindi ko na alam.
"Minsan nahuhuli ko, e. Kasi minsan may baon sila, e, sa school, di ba? 'Ano 'yan, ba't may bote [ng gatas] diyan,'" paninita raw ni Patrick.
"Okey lang pag sa gabi before sleeping. Yung mga gano'n. Pero pag mealtime, pag breakfast, lunch or dinner, dapat solid food.
" Kasi it helps with his speech also, e. Kasi kung nakabote palagi, hindi mag-i-improve yung ano niya [speech], e.
Mukhang hands-on daddy talaga siya.
"Oo, parang napapanood mo yung progress niya. 'Tsaka alam ko pag nagsimula na yung trabaho, medyo mababawasan yung time.
"So, no'n habang wala pa akong trabaho, everytime I can, sinusundo ko.
"Before kasi, hati. Like minsan, three days or four days sa kin. Tapos we both decided na baka ma-stress yung bata.
"Yung di niya alam kung kaninong bahay siya. Yung di niya alam kung saan siya, umuuwi, kung saan siya natutulog." Kaya napagkasunduan daw nila ni Jennylyn na dadalaw-dalawin na lang niya si AJ nang madalas kesa iuwi ito.
AJ'S SURNAME. "Garcia" na ba ang ginagamit ni AJ na apelyido?
"I want my son to use my last name kasi kumbaga blood ko naman siya.
"Hindi pa. Hindi pa. Legally puwede... kasi sa birth certificate kasi, e, Mercado," kaya daw kailangan pa ng legalities with a lawyer.
Pero, pumapayag ba si Jennylyn?
"Siya may sabi sa 'kin na ano, kumbaga I didn't have to force her. One time she just called me na, ayun, 'Gawin nating Garcia yung [family name ni AJ]'. So yun."
Nabalitaan na rin ba ni Patrick na nail-link ngayon si Jennylyn kay Luis Manzano?
Nagtalu-talo ang mga kasamahang press kung magkarelasyon na nga raw sina Jennylyn at Luis.
"Tanungin n'yo. Tawagan ko gusto niyo," biro pa niyang muwestrang ilalabas ang cell phone para tanungin ang real score between Jennylyn and Luis.
Pero, kung iisipin, single si Jennylyn ngayon at single din si Patrick. Wala na bang pag-asa between them na maging sila uli?
"A, my door is closed... but it's not locked. Kumbaga may susi pa," mabilis niyang sagot.
Asan yung susi?
"A, kailangang hanapin," nakatawa niyang sagot.
"Di nga, Pat, wala nang feeling?" Si Claudine ang nagtanong.
"As of now, wala. I'm so in love with my son. Kumbaga I don't wanna go to a rollercoaster relationship."
Pa'no kung anak niyang si AJ ang magsabi, 'Dito ka na lang matulog. Tabi kayo ni Mommy'?
"Tapos mai-in love na naman kayo sa isa't isa," pangungulit uli ni Claudine. Pa'no kung sabihin nga ni AJ, 'I want a baby brother, or a baby sister'," kulit ng kasamang writer.
"Sabihin ko, 'Jen, narinig mo sinabi ng anak natin?'" pabirong pagtatapos niya sa aming usapan.
Tinatawag na si Patrick kasi kasama na siya sa next scene.

Bida sa Iglot sina Claudine Barretto, Jolina Magdangal, Marvin Agustin, Patrick Garcia, Luis Alandy, Pauleen Luna, at ipinakikilala ang batang si Milkach Wynne Nacion.
Kapansin-pansing ang lahat ng main cast ay dating Kapamilya stars na namamayagpag naman sa Kapuso network ngayon.
Originally ay sa paanan ng Mayon Volcano dapat kukunan ang mga eksena sa Mt. Arayat, pero dahil nag-uuulan ay minabuting sa Pampanga na lang daw ito ituloy.
May pagkakahawig naman daw kasi ang hugis ng bundok Arayat sa bulkan ng Mayon.
Sa gitna ng mainit na bukirin ng nasabing barangay ang location. May air-conditioned tents naman ang mga artista na nagsisilbing quarters nila pag wala silang eksena, kung saan naman namin nakausap ang ilan sa kanila.
Katatapos ng eksena ni Jolina kaya sa kanyang tent kami unang pinapasok.
Excited ang dalaga sa pagkukuwento sa kanyang role bilang si Ramona.
Masaya rin siya sa muling pagsasama nila ng ka-loveteam na si Marvin at sa mga kuwentuhan nila ni Claudine na kung ite-trace ay parehong nagkasama sa Ang TV noong mga bata pa sila.
Ngayon, ang kuwentuhan ay tungkol na raw sa mga anak ni Clau (nickname ni Claudine) at sa mga plano na ni Jolens (palayaw ni Jolina).
Plano, meaning pag-iisang-dibdib ni Jolina with boyfriend Mark Escueta, drummer ng Rivermaya.
Mauunahan na nga raw siya kasi ng best friend ni Jolina na si Kyla sa pagpapakasal with cager boyfriend Rich Alvarez sa November 28.
Ayon kay Jolina, "Hindi, una talaga si Kyla. In fairness naman kay Ky (tawag niya kay Kyla.). Una siya, e. 'Tsaka si Kyla, noon pa yung [planong pagpapakasal] kay Kyla. Matagal na."
Sila ni Mark, kelan na ang kasal? Sinasabi rin kasing malapit na rin siyang humarap sa altar.
"Hindi ko pa po alam. Basta gusto ko malamig ang panahon.
"At saka ang dami pa munang inaayos. 'Tsaka, totoo yung sabi ni Ky noon.
"Tsaka yung mga ceno-CENOMAR, hindi pala madaling i-apply 'yang mga 'yan. May mga araw ka pang hihintayin.
"Tsaka gusto sana namin ni Marvin..." at bigla siyang natawa sa pangalang nasabi. "Ay, Marvin! Kasi ang gulu-gulo ni Marvin kanina, e.
"Anyway, gusto sana naming ni Mark, pagka ibinigay na do'n sa... Wala pa kasi kaming ano, [wedding] organizer.
"Kasi gusto ko po, pag kumuha na kami ng gano'n [wedding planner], yung ilalatag na lang talaga namin yung ano, kung ano ang gusto talaga namin.
"Kasi feeling ko, pagka umupo pa, tapos 'tsaka lang magsa-suggest. Gugulo ang isip namin.
"Ang gusto talaga namin [ni Mark], eto yung gusto namin. Papa'no natin ito magagawa?"
Ano ba ang plano niyang kasal, garden wedding, kasal sa beach, o sa church?
"Parang gusto ko sana garden. Pero siyempre hindi naman puwedeng ako lang ang may gusto, di ba?
May iku-consider daw kasing weather. Buti sana kung gaya noong kasal nina Regine Velasquez at Ogie Alcasid na nakisama ang panahon.
"Pero, malagkit," comment niya dahil medyo mainit daw noong ikasal ang Songbird at si Ogie. "So, marami talagang iko-consider kaya ayokong madaliin.
"Gusto ko... gusto ko talaga this year. Pero kung sa tingin ko pag this year, e, mag-aaway na kami sa stress ay 'wag na lang po.
"Okay lang ako kung early next year. Pero wag naman mid-next year. Wag naman."
Kung noon ay sa Venice niya gustong mag-honeymoon, ngayon naman ay sa Alaska na raw.
"Kasi tinatanong ako kung ano yung mga lugar na gusto ko. Oo, dream lang.
"Gusto ko talaga Venice, alam n'yo 'yan. Pero sa Alaska yung gusto ko.. Kasi gusto kong makita sa Alaska yung Northern Light."
"Ano yun? Mero'n yatang month. Every first month of the year yata nakikita or last. Parang mga gano'n.
"Ganda! Sobrang ganda sa picture. Picture pa lang. Siguro pag nando'n na mangiyak-ngiyak na ko, 'ang ganda niya!'"
Pagkatapos ng kasal, babalik pa ba siya sa showbiz?
"Oo naman. Kasi si Mark, alam naman niya na gusto ko 'to, e. Although siyempre magkakaroon kami ng mga business, o kung anuman. Ganyan.
"Gusto rin naming magkaro'n ng gano'n. Pero, parang ano lang 'yan, e, 'Wag ka nang magbanda, ha.' Sasabihin ko bang gano'n? Siyempre, hindi.

Sa kabila ng mga lumabas na balita na hindi tuloy ang pag-uwi ni Nora Aunor sa Pilipinas noong July 21, marami pa rin ang nag-abang na baka bigla ngang dumating ang Superstar.
Sa ngayon, iba't iba ang date na sinasabing pagbabalik ng aktres. Nandiyan ang sabi-sabing sa July 31 na raw siya darating, pero may ilan ding usap-usapan na sa September na raw ang uwi nito.
Nakausap ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) ang malapit na kaibigan ni Nora na si Suzette Ranillo sa awards night ng Cinemalaya 2011 noong Linggo, July 24.

"Very, very soon. Magbilang na lang tayo ng araw," sabi ni Suzette.

Dahil hindi maibigay ang definite date ng sinasabing pagbabalik ng bansa ng Superstar, ito ba ay dahil ayaw gawing malaking issue ni Nora ang pagbabalik niya at gusto niya itong itago sa publiko at sa media?
"Ay, hindi!" tanggi ni Suzette.
"Actually, excited siyang makita lahat tayo.
"Hindi naman sa itinatago kundi kailangan lang tapusin lahat ng negotiations with the producers for her projects."
Tiniyak din ni Suzette na tuloy ang pelikulang pagsasamahan ni Nora at ni Laguna Governor ER Ejercito, ang El Presidente.
Ayon pa sa kanya, ang Cinema Concept, na siyang producer ng pelikula, ang sasagot sa lahat ng expenses ng Superstar pag-uwi niya ng bansa.
Sa pagbabalik ba ni Ate Guy ay mananatili na ito sa Pilipinas o babalik ito ulit sa U.S.?
"Depende, kasi alam ninyo kasi si Guy is already a permanent resident in America.
"Pero excited siyang bumalik at gumawa ng pelikula at makita ang kanyang mga fans.

Musician Ely Buendia is alive, well, and still playing rock and roll, contrary to a hoax that first spread via sms that he had died.
"EB is OK, pls ignore the text hoax that is currently going around. =)," read a status update on the Facebook page of Pupil, Buendia's band.
On Tuesday afternoon, several hours later, Buendia himself tweeted: "Next time na may magkalat pa na patay na 'ko di na talaga 'ko maniniwala."
Rumors that Buendia had passed away began circling the Internet via an ungrammatical and poorly punctuated message.
"We Love You Ely.. Ely Buendia pass away, at exactly 12:17am july 26, 2011 due to cardiac arrest bcoz of ruptured aneurysm. He arrived critical in St. Lukes, emergency department, E. Rodriguez Ave. QC. After a Gig party for an advertisement of a bottling company. Pls. Pass to all fans."
Despite the questionable announcement, the unverified information spread quickly, upsetting fans.
"Patay na si idol ko :"(((((( I can't accept the truth :(( Let's pray for the soul of Ely Buendia and his family :(" posted Mark Anthony Peralta on Facebook.
While some simply passed the message on without bothering to find out whether Buendia had indeed passed away, several asked celebrities as well as news outfits about the announcement. "Is it true? Ely Buendia died?" Gethsemane De Jesus asked GMA News, Inquirer, and Scoopbox on Twitter.
Drizzlecao on Twitter said "Ohmy! Is it true? Ely Buendia died this afternoon? (nearly in tears)."
Buendia is best known for being part of The Eraserheads, a popular Pinoy rock band of the 1990s, with Raimund Marasigan, Buddy Zabala and Marcus Adoro. Buendia also collaborated with Master Rapper FrancisM, who died in 2009 just before "The Final Set," a reunion concert of The Eraserheads meant as a follow-up to an earlier reunion concert in 2008.
The first reunion concert was cut short when Buendia collapsed backstage after the first set.
Rumors of his death also circulated following the concert, but Buendia was alive and well, despite having undergone his third angioplasty since 2007.
Buendia's manager Day Cabuhat assured the public that the rumors were a complete hoax.
Twitter user Kimerald2006 asked FrancisM's daughter Saab Magalona if the rumors were true, "hoping that it's just a bad joke."
It seems it is indeed just a bad joke, although it is unclear who started it, or why it was started in the first place.
Buendia celebrated his 40th birthday last November, and has been keeping himself busy.

MANILA, Philippines - Ruffa Gutierrez recently demanded her estranged husband to put in writing his real intention in inviting their daughters to visit him in Turkey.
The actress-host said she is hesitant to leave Lorin and Venice to Turkish businessman Yilmaz Bektas without a written agreement.
"There has to be a written letter saying they'll be gone for 2 weeks and they'll come back," Gutierrez said on Thursday.
"Sa tingin mo ibabalik pa niya sa akin [sina Lorin at Venice]? Para sa akin, this is a very delicate situation."
Bektas has offered Gutierrez $2 million so the latter would allow her children to go to Turkey.
Gutierrez made it clear, however, that the amount is not necessarily for child support.
"Sa akin pinagkaloob ng korte 'yung mga bata. So for me, kailangang sundin natin ang korte na ako ang may sole custody kina Lorin and Venice and he has visitation rights here in the Philippines. Ngayon, if he would like the children to visit somewhere else, I said it's okay for the kids to visit him in America...And then siguro bago ko ipadala, kailangan ipaalam ko rin sa lawyers ko," she said.
The Quezon City Regional Trial Court has granted Gutierrez sole custody of her 2 daughters last March.

ALENCIA, California -- The newest member of the Ranillo clan was baptized Sunday afternoon.
About 200 friends and family members attended the christening of Baby Nate Jacob Ranillo Lim, son of sexy actress Krista Ranillo and Island Pacific Supermarket chain owner Jefferson "Niño" Lim.
The baby was born last April.
"It's a different life but as they say, it's really fulfilling and it's true. It went really well. I was just maybe in labor for 5 hours. He was a big baby, he was 8.6 pounds. But everything is good," recalled Ranillo, who has already slimmed down.
"I guess no sleep plus eating on time plus breastfeeding [helped me slim down]. And they say it helps a lot to burn calories and I guess that's it."
Veteran actress Gloria Sevilla flew in from the Philippines to see her great grandson for the first time.
"I told Krista if ever Nate wants to follow her footsteps, study first. Education is the best," she said.
Ranillo's father, actor Matt Ranillo III, has also put his showbiz career on hold to be an hands-on grandfather.
"Now that baby Nate is growing up, he's 3 months now, he reminds me of Krista when she was 3 because I was a hands-on father. I was there taking care of her and now I'm taking care of my grandson but only half, because now it's Krista's turn," Matt said.
The young family has moved to a quiet suburb in the San Fernando Valley area of Southern California, where Ranillo said she is finding the joy of being a stay-at-home mom.
Ranillo married Lim on August 8 last year. The sexy actress decided to stay in the United States after she was linked to boxing icon Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao.

MANILA, Philippines – Maria Aragon has set foot in the studio to record her first album.
Days after arriving from Canada, the 11-year-old YouTube sensation continues to live out her dream in the Philippines as she becomes the newest Kapamilya pop singer.
Among the songs in Aragon's new album is her rendition of Lady Gaga's “Born This Way,” which catapulted her to international recognition. It can be remembered that Lady Gaga herself invited Aragon to perform the song with her at Air Canada Centre in Toronto.
The Filipino-Canadian also takes a crack at singing Original Pilipino Music or OPM in her album with "Kung Bubuksan Mo Puso Mo."
Aragon admitted that she is still in disbelief with the stardom that has welcomed her here in the Philippines, but said that she is inspired by Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano and his outlook on career and spirituality.
She added that she wants to stay grounded and be a normal kid despite all the attention she is getting.
Aragon has already shared a song number with Pop Princess Sarah Geronimo on "ASAP Rocks," ABS-CBN's musical variety show. She is set to perform with Concert King Martin Nievera on the same show this Sunday.
She will also be the voice of Star Cinema's upcoming movie with actresses Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes as she sings "Way Back Home," her first movie soundtrack.

MANILA, Philippines – Actress Anne Curtis confirmed that she had already introduced her boyfriend Erwann Heusaff to her family.
In an interview with “Showbiz News Ngayon,” Curtis said: “Last year pa iyon actually. Matagal na. Last year pa sila nag-meet actually so medyo huli na kayo sa balita.This year hindi siya nakasama because of work so it was really just family talaga.”
She said Heusaff is always welcome to visit her family.
“Anytime naman that he’s free and wala siyang work, of course he’s always invited to family gatherings,” she said.
Like Heusaff, Curtis is busy with several product endorsement projects.
An entertainment magazine recently named her as one of the top 20 celebrity endorsers of 2011.
“Siyempre nakaka-flatter. It just makes me so happy na nandoon ang trust na ibinibigay sa akin. I’m happy kasi dito rin sa mga commercials na ito binigyan ako ng chance kumanta. Ang bongga. So it’s so happy to be able to do something that you love and at the same time have fun while doing it,” she said.
Curtis also gave an update about her upcoming album.
“Ang target month actually is August so we are really finishing all of the songs and finalizing yung line up,” she said.

MANILA, Philippines – Filipino-Canadian singer Maria Aragon is elated to have shared the stage with pop princess Sarah Geronimo for a production number on “ASAP Rocks.”
In an interview with “The Buzz” on Sunday, Aragon said it never crossed her mind that she’ll sing with either Geronimo or any of the “ASAP” stars.
“It was an amazing experience especially getting to sing with the one and only Sarah Geronimo. She was really nice and she was amazingly talented. It was such a blessing and honor that everybody welcomed me at ASAP,” she said.
“I feel very blessed and I want to say thank you to everybody for your support,” she added.
Things to do
Aragon also revealed what keeps her busy while she is here in the Philippines.
“Well for now we are recording an album and that’s gonna be coming out some time in August and it’s gonna have songs like ‘Born This Way,’ just a little bit of a revival of that song. We’re gonna do the song ‘You’re my Home’ by Lea Salonga. We’re gonna be doing another version of that for a movie under Star Cinema and it’s gonna be coming out soon so we’re really excited for that too,” she said.
Aside from her record deal with Star Records, Aragon also mentioned that she’ll be doing a charity work which will benefit the poor children in the country.
“I just want to talk about another event that I’m doing. It’s called the Couples For Christ Global Ancop. The money from it goes towards the education for poor children in the Philippines,” she said.
“The other day I cried in an interview because it’s really important to me that we should all be aware of the different situations and tragedies that are happening. When I went to the Philippines, there were kids on the street and they had no home, they had no bed and it made me cry,” Aragon said.
Aragon said the opportunities don't normally happen in Canada and she wants “to make a change and hopefully I influence other people to make a change too.”
Best advice
Asked what is the best advice that she ever got from her parents or from the people that she has worked with, Aragon said: “You should always stay grounded.”
“I’ve been through a lot but the thing is you should always stay grounded. I always stay with God. I always pray with my family every night and just always be grateful for what you have because there are some kids or a lot of people that don’t have what we have. We are very privileged to have what we have. It’s very important to me,” she explained.

At the Cinemalaya 2011 awarding, the actor—who was called by his real name Rafael "Bembol" Roco, Jr. by presenter Jennifer Sevilla—delivered the shortest speech in the awards night.
"I'm surprised, and... thank you so much!" sabi ni Bembol.
Bembol was named best actor for his "understated performance" in the film Isda (Fable of the Fish), directed by Adolf Alix, Jr.
In contrast, first-time best actress winner Racquel Villavicencio was overwhelmed by her win, she remained speechless onstage for a few minutes. But she delivered a lengthy speech upon regaining her composure.
"Sorry, I was backstage kasi tinawag na ako para mag-prepare, tapos biglang narinig ko yung pangalan ko," she apologized.
Then, she amusingly asked, "What's this for?"
One of the night's hosts, Angel Aquino, said that it's understandable that Racquel had that confusion, as she was "brilliant in both movies, Bisperas and Nino."
The character actress, who also previously won other awards as production designer and as screenwriter, won the Cinemalaya 2011 top acting plum for Jeffrey Jeturian's Bisperas.

Last Saturday, July 23, nga ay napanood si Zoren sa isang episode ng Maalaala Mo Kaya sa ABS-CBN kung saan nakasama niya ang child wonder na si Zaijian Jaranilla.
Pawang positive feedback ang nakuha ni Zoren sa mahusay niyang pagganap bilang tatay ni Zaijian.
"Alam mo simula noong magdirek ako, na-force ako to really perform para pag napanood yun ng ibang artista at idinirek ko sila, kahit paano magkakaroon sila ng respeto sa akin na I know what I'm doing.
"So, tuwing lumalabas ako ngayon sa TV, I make sure I give my 200 percent effort.
"At saka ngayon ko lang na-discover kasi yung meaning ng 'an actor.' Recently ko lang talaga na-discover siya.
"Kaya pag nagpe-perform ako, all out talaga ako.
"At saka ayokong mapahiya sa mga kumukuha sa akin dahil ibinibigay naman nila yung presyong hinihingi ko.
"So, in return,makita naman nilang worth it naman pala. Kung ano yung value ng binibigay nila sa akin, sinusuklian ko lang sa trabaho ko."
Freelancer daw si Zoren ngayon at hindi siya nakatali sa anumang TV network.
"Mas masaya kasi ako nung patalun-talon," sabi niya.
"Katulad nun si Santino [Zaijian], nakatrabaho ko. Tapos si Nadine Samonte, makakatrabaho ko sa The Sisters sa TV5.
"Pero meron akong ibang soap na gagawin dito sa TV5."
Hindi ba siya in-offer-an ng project ng GMA-7 pagkatapos ng Nita Negrita?
"Sa GMA? Kasi naunang mag-offer ang TV5, e, kaya hindi na namin in-entertain. Pero meron sana," sagot ni Zoren.
Wala naman daw siyang bad blood sa Kapuso network kaya puwede pa rin naman siyang bumalik dito.
"NEW KIND OF FILMMAKING". Samantala, nakatakda rin magdirek ng isang pelikula si Zoren. Mas excited nga raw siya rito dahil siya rin ang magpo-produce nito.
"Under process pa lang siya dahil ako yung sumusulat. Kailangan kasi ako ang sumulat, e.
"I want to introduce a new kind of filmmaking. Pero hindi siya art movie, it's a movie na entertaining, commercial ang dating.
"I will be producing it also," sabi niya.
Plano niya bang ialok ang movie na ito sa established film outfits para mai-release?
"Well, we'll see. Pero may mga nakausap na ako and willing naman sila.
"But I'd rather do it on my own first at saka ko ipakikita sa kanila pag finished product na.
"Kasi mas gusto ko yung hindi ako pinakikialaman. Kasi otherwise, mapapakialaman ka pagdating sa casting, pagdating sa istorya.
"I just want to test myself din kung kaya ko, kung papasa ba kung ako lang yung gagawa.

"Kasi ang talagang goal ko is really to have my own production, a movie outfit."

"Sa ngayon, ang sigurado ko pa lang ay si Niña Jose. I like her, she's sexy.
"Naiintriga ako sa kanya pagdating sa acting.
"Hindi naman ako nahirapang i-convince siya dahil pareho naman kami ng manager, si Manny Valera.
"Nagkausap na kami and she's willing to undergo heavy workshop.
"Because the movie is not a joke, talagang matindi at mabibigat yung mga eksena."
Wala pa raw siyang nahahanap na leading man.
"Nahihirapan akong maghanap ng leading man dahil yung built ni Niña, malaking babae siya.
"Ayoko naman yung tipong liliit tingnan yung lalaki.
"So, gusto ko yung medyo malaking lalaki talaga.
"So far, wala pa akong nakikita.
"Ako yung nakalagay doon sa script, but kung makakahanap ako ng leading man who will suit her, mas okay."

NEW YORK - Katy Perry believes keeping "good people around" helps her deal with the pressures of being one of the world's biggest pop stars, which currently has her on a global concert tour and taking part in her first movie.
As the music world mourns the death of British singer Amy Winehouse, Perry told Reuters she is not tempted by the hedonistic lifestyle that has helped fuel the demise of talented performers before her.
Perry, whose hits include "Teenage Dream" and "Firework," said she is able to stay away from the wild, party life with the help of honest, supportive people around her, such as her British actor/comedian husband Russell Brand, himself a recovering drug addict who is now clean and sober.
"I like to keep good people around me, people that aren't always 'yes' people, people that sometimes it's difficult to be around because they're not 'yes' people," she told Reuters.
"My husband is definitely one of those, he keeps me accountable and, you know, he's not a fan, even though he is a fan...he supports me and loves me but he doesn't bullshit me, which is really important."
The 26-year-old California native, who is one year younger than Winehouse, tweeted on Saturday when Winehouse was found dead in her London apartment, "RIP Amy Winehouse. May she finally find peace".
Brand said on his website that his old friend Winehouse was a "genius" and recalled sharing with her the "disease of addiction," referring to both their public battles with drinking and drug use.
Perry told Reuters she currently is focused on keeping her life centered as her career has ballooned from singer to chart-topping star and now a role voicing a Smurfette in the upcoming animated movie, "The Smurfs"
"In the very beginning there was a lot of, 'Oh let's go celebrate,' always champagne and parties and, that was something that was taking energy from me that I needed to give to my career in that moment," she said when asked about the difficulties of balancing the pressures of a showbiz career.
Smurfette role, world tour
The singer transformed herself from what music critics thought might be a one hit wonder with the single "I Kissed a Girl" in 2008 to currently one of the world's biggest pop stars. Her album last year "Teenage Dream" garnered both chart hits, popular music videos and critical acclaim.
Now she is the sassy voice of Smurfette in the animated 3-D film, "The Smurfs," which she said she was drawn to because her evangelical Christian parents forbade her from watching "The Smurfs" TV series and other animated cartoons programs growing up.
"Maybe my rebellious side was, 'Oh you weren't allowed to watch 'Smurfs' growing up, so you've got the opportunity to be a Smurf in the feature film, go for it.' So I did that," Perry said.
Calling her acting career "early days yet" she hinted that, like her husband, she may branch further into Hollywood movies, including another role in upcoming "The Muppets" movie, but time commitments, she allowed, were a factor in balancing the music and film worlds.
"I have to keep that in mind when I actually decide to jump over to that world (films) but I think, when I do, I hope to do stuff that is very smart. With everything I do, there is a lot of thought that goes into it and a lot of hard work," she said.
In Her current "California Dreams Tour 2011," which began in February and runs until December, Perry plays up her carefully cultivated bubblegum pop image with sex appeal. But her sunshine image can have its drawbacks. She joked that she wished she didn't have to act so happy all the time.
"I've created this 'candy girl' who is so happy-go-lucky all the time. I wish she had just like a day where she was a little bit more flat-lined," said Perry.

The final installment in the popular "Potter" series took in $48.1 million over its second weekend in domestic (U.S. and Canadian) theaters, plus $121.3 million internationally, distributor Warner Bros. said on Sunday.
Romantic comedy "Friends with Benefits" starring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis, took the No. 3 spot over three days with $18.5 million domestically, a solid start for a film that cost about $34 million to produce, according to Sony Pictures studio.
"Captain America" drew a 64 percent male audience to the film set in the 1940s, about a scrawny, bullied orphan transformed into a muscular superhero thanks to a serum developed by the government. He is the latest Marvel comic book character to hit the big screen before the superheroes join forces in next year's film "The Avengers."

LOS ANGELES - Several members of Michael Jackson's family unveiled plans on Monday for a tribute concert to the late King of Pop, but performers were unnamed leading to a less-than-thrilling announcement for the "Thriller" singer.
The tribute show, supported by Jackson family matriarch Katherine Jackson, will be held on October 8 in Cardiff, Wales at the Millennium Stadium, which holds about 75,000 people. It will be broadcast live via satellite on pay-per-view television and into movie theaters around the world, some of which will screen it in 3D, said promoter Global Live Events.
Katherine Jackson told reporters at the unveiling in Los Angeles that she is proud of the event and the caliber of singers performing. No names were announced on Monday.
"If my son was here today, he would feel the same way, and so I'd like to say thank you very much for helping to keep my son's legacy alive," she said.
Michael Jackson, who rose to fame in his family of singers then embarked on a solo career that included smash hits such as "Thriller" and "Billie Jean," died in June 2009, of an overdose of the surgical anesthetic propofol he used as a sleep aid.
His physician at the time, Dr. Conrad Murray, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter in Jackson's death. He has pleaded not guilty and a trial will start in September.
Jackson's brother, Jermaine Jackson, tried in vain to mount a tribute concert in Vienna in 2009, but plans were scrapped after he struggled to get big-name acts and the event's organizer went out of business.

Nakausap ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) si Patrick Garcia pagkatapos niyang mag-guest sa radio program ni German "Kuya Germs" Moreno na Walang Siesta nitong Huwebes, July 21.
Kapansin-pansin ang magandang aura ni Patrick nang makausap namin siya. Ang malaking dahilan daw ng pagiging masaya niya ay ang anak niyang si Alex Jazz.
Si Alex Jazz, who will turn 3 years old next month, ay anak ni Patrick sa dati niyang girlfriend na si Jennylyn Mercado.
A CHANGED MAN. Ayon sa aktor, iba na ang takbo ng kanyang buhay ngayon.
Kung dati raw ay happy-go-lucky siya, ngayon ay mas gusto na raw niyang magtrabaho nang magtrabaho para sa future ng kanilang baby ni Jennylyn.
"Happy ako kasi iba pala ang feeling kapag may baby ka na, kapag nakakasama mo ang baby mo.
"Lalo na't lumalaki na si Jazz, mas gusto ko siya laging kasama.
"Kung dati ang iniisip ko sarili ko lang, pero ngayon, si Jazz na—kung ano ang maganda sa kanya.
"At mas gusto kong magtrabaho para sa future ng anak ko, hindi na ako katulad ng dati na laging gumigimik.
"Ngayon, pag wala akong trabaho, mas gusto ko yung kasama ko ang anak ko."
Kumusta naman sila ni Jennylyn?
"Mas okey kami ngayon as parents of Jazz, we're friends," sagot ni Patrick.
"Everytime that we talk, it's about Jazz, kung anong kailangan niya.
"And now he's going to school. Para pag nasa regular school, madali na."
May say ba siya sa pagpili ng school na papapasukan ni AJ?
"Siyempre kaming dalawa ni Jen ang magde-decide dun.
"Siyempre taga-Alabang ako, tapos siya Quezon City.
"Siyempre minsan gusto niya yung malapit sa bahay niya, at ako yung malapit sa bahay ko.
"We compromise naman, 'Dito na lang tayo sa gitna sa Ortigas.'"
ARRANGEMENT WITH JENNYLYN. Nabanggit din ni Patrick na may bago na silang arrangement ni Jennylyn pagdating sa kanilang anak.
"Dati nahihiram ko, dati natutulog siya sa bahay.
"Pero we both decided na dapat isa lang ang alam niyang bahay, para hindi ma-stress ang bata. Baka kasi ma-confuse.
"So we both decided na sa bahay na lang ni Jen, at ako na lang ang pupunta dun."
Natutulog din ba siya sa bahay ni Jennylyn?
"Yun ang bawal, pinapatulog ko lang yung anak ko," sagot ng binatang ama.
Siya ba yung nagtitimpla ng gatas pag wala si Jennylyn?
"Marunong naman ako magtimpla ng gatas," nakangiting sabi ni Patrick.
"Pero yung diaper, hindi ako marunong. Tinatawag ko na si Yaya dun."
Ano ang general parenting concerns nila ni Jen? Do they always consult each other?
"We always talk naman," sagot ng aktor.
"Yung part niya yung maghahatid sa school, ako naman minsan yung magsusundo.
"Kung sino ang available, ganun, talagang open communication kaming dalawa para walang complication."
Dahil okey na sila ngayon ni Jennylyn, may possibility kaya na magkabalikan sila?
"Hindi ko iniisip 'yan. Kasi sa ngayon, mas concerned kami kay Jazz.
"Pero hindi natin alam kung ano ang mangyayari, pero ang mahalaga, okey kami for our son."
Nag-uusap ba sila ni Jennylyn tungkol sa mga nagiging karelasyon nila?
"Hindi naman, nagbibiruan lang. Pero hindi namin pinag-uusapan.
"If nag-uusap kasi kami, laging tungkol sa anak namin."
BACK TO ACTING. Pagkatapos mapahinga mula sa pag-arte ng matagal-tagal ding panahon ay magbabalik si Patrick sa pamamagitan ng upcoming primetime fantaserye ng GMA-7, ang Iglot.
Makakasama niya rito ang mga kasamahan niya dati sa ABS-CBN na sina Claudine Barretto, Jolina Magdangal, at Marvin Agustin.
Ano ang role niya sa Iglot?
"Yung sa character ko, siyempre ayokong masyadong ma-reveal," sabi niya.
"Isisikreto ko muna, baka kasi ma-reveal din yung istorya, kaya medyo secret muna. Abangan na lang nila."
How about sa pelikula? May gagawin ba siyang pelikula this year?
"Wala pa namang film project. Pero kung meron man, ang gusto ko maganda yung script.
"For me naman, wala akong care kung maliit ang role ko o malaki, basta I like the character, maganda yung istorya.
Nakagawa na ba siya ng indie film?
"Wala pa, pero gusto ko ring makagawa," sabi ni Patrick.
"Hindi naman kasi 'yan sa pera, gusto ko lang maganda yung script.

A year after his first visit to the Philippines, Grammy award-winning composer-producer David Foster is slated to return with his godchild, Charice.
On October 25, Charice's fans will have the chance to watch her perform live at the Araneta Coliseum for the Asian Tour of David Foster and Friends.
Aside from performing in the Philippines, Charice is also expected to have concerts in Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore.
According to her manager Grace Mendoza, Charice's movie, Here Comes the Boom, will be screened by 2012.
Right now, the singer-actress is in the United States working on her upcoming album.

NAPA VALLEY CONCERT. Charice also recently graced the 6th Annual Napa Valley Festival del Sole held at the Robert Mondavi Winery in Napa Valley north of San Francisco, U.S.A.
The other performers during the July 16 concert were renowned singer-songwriter Kenneth Brian "Babyface" Edmonds; 2003 American Idol winner and Grammy Award nominee Ruben Studdard; The Canadian Tenors, which is composed of Remigio Pereira, Victor Micallef, Fraser Walters, and Clifton Murray; and record producer and singer-songwriter David Foster.
Charice posted on her Twitter account a few hours before taking the stage: "Here in Napa 4 a performance. chillin backstage w/ my big bro @RubenStuddard! I missed him! everybody please follow him? :) thanks y'all!"
The 19-year-old singer and recording artist performed Celine Dion's "To Love You More," a medley of Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing" and "I Will Always Love You" and Gloria Gaynor's immortal anthem, "I Will Survive."
Charice's performance of "I Will Survive" literally rocked the crowd, with the Filipino singer standing on top of an elevated platform as David Foster provided piano accompaniment.
Some of those who witnessed the show later remarked on Twitter: @stbarrett: "Charice singing I will always love you was better than Whitney Houston. Not a dry eye in the crowd. Wow."
Violinist Christine Wu also wrote, "Charice is KILLING it!!! Babyface & D Foster onstage for 4 songs too. If something had happened there'd be no one left to write hits. Charice is sooo nice too, really impressed w everything about her."
