MANILA, Philippines – Actress Gretchen Barretto is rumored to have initially turned down an offer to do a cover photo shoot with a magazine after she was told she would be appearing in it with other actresses.

A source told Bulletin Entertainment that a few weeks ago, a magazine staff inquired about Gretchen’s availability for a photo shoot. When told that she was to grace the cover with other actresses, Gretchen’s camp allegedly said they will only accept the offer if it's a solo feature.

The magazine’s original concept for the cover was aimed at showcasing three of showbiz’s most beautiful denizens. This was eventually scrapped to give way to Gretchen’s supposed directive. The magazine photo shoot went on with the other celebrities still clueless about the whole matter.

Only weeks ago, Gretchen received flak for supposedly walking out of an interview. Apparently, the drama stemmed from one reporter's question relating to Gretchen's formal educational attainment. Recall that the actress stopped schooling after she decided to pursue a career in showbiz.

"That's very intrusive. Why emphasize that [educational attainment]? Kakulangan ko ba 'yon bilang tao? Humaharap naman ako nang maayos sa inyo so why grill me on that? I think we should stop this interview. Nakakapikon na," Greta was quoted as saying by abs-cbnnews.com.

Gretchen cleared the matter in a separate interview.

“I just chose to stay away from a situation which is against my sensibility and dignity. You just can't stand by and accept all questions thrown by media against you and be kawawa. That was my choice," Barretto said.
