MANILA, Philippines – Sultry actress Cristine Reyes’s wish finally came true as she is set to be paired with her real-life partner, actor-dancer Rayver Cruz, in ABS-CBN’s newest television series entitled “Reputasyon.”

In a report posted on celebrity website Philippine Entertainment Portal, Cruz said he does not mind being the third choice for the said teleserye.

"Natutuwa ako. Happy ako. ‘Di na importante kung pang-ilan akong choice. Natutuwa ako dahil napili nila ako,” he said.

“Masaya at nagpapasalamat ako sa magandang opportunity na ito. At least may show na naman ako. May mapapanood na naman ang tao at may work uli ako," he added.

Earlier reports said actor Derek Ramsay turned down the TV project due to his busy schedule. Actor Jake Cuenca, who was supposed to be Ramsay’s replacement, reportedly declined the project.

Meantime, Cruz expressed his joy over his comebacking prime time TV project.

"Nakaalis na ako sa dating image na bagets. Ngayon pa-seryoso na. Sa akin, challenge 'yun, so mas pagbubutihan ko ang trabaho ko. Mas lalo ko siyang mamahalin at ‘di ko sasayangin ang tiwalang binibigay sa akin ng ABS," said Cruz.

The “ASAP Rocks” host, meanwhile, said he’s excited to work with his girlfriend, whom he described as “very professional.”

"'Di ako natutuwa dahil makaka-partner ko siya as my girlfriend. Natutuwa ako dahil makakatrabaho ko siya uli as a co-actor, dahil masarap siyang katrabaho. She's very professional. 'Di ko ito sinasabi dahil girlfriend ko siya pero masarap talagang katrabaho si AA. Magaling siyang umarte," he said.

Reyes is called "Baby AA" by family and close friends.
